Privacy Policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026. This policy explains what personal data neolence.com handles, why, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who we are
Neolence is a research lab based in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Neolence is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about privacy at hello@neolence.com.
What this site does and does not do
This site has no forms, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not set cookies. Its fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain, and the scripts only run page animations.
What data we handle
Emails you send us. If you write to any @neolence.com address, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message and anything you attach.
Technical logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested and the time. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report network errors when a page fails to load. We use this data only to keep the site running and secure.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your emails to read and reply to you and to follow up on what you asked about, such as a partner invitation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or taking steps you ask for before any agreement. We use technical logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest in a working, secure website.
We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and processes the technical logs. Zoho provides our email service and stores the emails you send us. Both act on our behalf.
Transfers outside Nigeria
Cloudflare and Zoho may process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ contractual data protection commitments and the safeguards allowed under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your emails sooner. Technical logs are kept by Cloudflare for limited periods under its own retention practices; we do not keep separate copies.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Email hello@neolence.com to use any of these rights. We will reply within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, forms or anything else that collects data, we will update this policy at the same time, before the change goes live. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
