About
Why Neolence exists
Africa should be able to solve its own hardest problems, with tools built here.

The founder
Godwin David
Godwin comes from a biochemistry background at the University of Maiduguri. For his BCH 499 final-year project he worked on engineering a thermostable cellulolytic enzyme, an endoglucanase from Bacillus subtilis, for biofuel-relevant conditions.
He is building Neolence’s business foundations through the ALX Founder Academy.
The mission
African self-sufficiency, one hard problem at a time.
Too much of what African industry runs on is imported, and imports are costly. Neolence exists to build those solutions locally, starting with enzymes, so the knowledge, the jobs and the value stay on the continent.
We start with enzyme engineering, with AlphaX, our in-house engine, built to design enzymes that partner labs make and test.
